checklist for
the SoNo Guitar Studio
noon, the Lecture Hall

arrival:
please do arrive already warmed up by 11:30am and check in with me for seating arrangements and tuning.

please bring:
as well as your guitar, a footstool and special chair or stool (unless an adult-sized chair is used), sheet music and a music stand if this will be used in the recital.

attire:
girls please wear long-sleeved top with either a full skirt or slacks; boys please wear long pants with a long-sleeved shirt or jacket. the idea is to make it easier for everyone to play unimpeded by the friction of legs and arms sticking to the surface of the guitars, and to allow girls to play comfortably in a stable legs-apart sitting position, which cannot happen with short skirts! no nail polish please!!

photos:
all the students will be asked to return to the stage after final bows, guitars in hand, for photos. if videotaping please do so from the back of the room and make sure to take photos in between songs in order to minmize distractions. if you wish to contribute one of your photos to the Studio website, please obtain a standard release form from me, for the protection of all.


directions:
North/East from New York City
Take exit 3 off I-95. At bottom of ramp turn right onto Arch Street. Follow Arch Street to intersection of Steamboat Road. Go straight across to Museum Drive. The Museum entrance is 500 feet on your left. Students may be dropped off at front entrance plaza, or as close as the re-configuration of traffic caused by the Outdoor Festival allows.
South/West from Stamford
Take exit 3 off I-95. Turn left at bottom of the ramp onto Arch Street. Go under thruway bridge to intersection of Steamboat Road. Proceed as above.
From the Merritt Parkway
Take the North Street exit and follow signs to central Greenwich. At the end of North Street bear left onto Maple Avenue. At the light bear right onto Putnam Avenue and take the immediate left onto Milbank Avenue. Follow Milbank to the end, bearing straight at rotaries. Turn right onto Bruce Park Avenue. Take the next left onto Steamboat Road. At the light take a left onto Museum Drive.
